There are many people on the "net" that are embarrassed to say that they are doing network marketing part time. Most people are afraid that if they don't call themselves " a professional network marketer" people won't take them seriously. A "professional network marketer" probably means that you are spending all your time figuring out ways how to promote yourself and make yourself noticed on various social networks in the hope that people will be attracted to what you are doing and join your opportunity.
Well, I am would like to be a trend setter. I am admitting that I am doing network marketing part time. 75% of network marketers are doing their business part time, so if most people are doing network marketing part time, why be embarrassed?
Let's be real, if someone is telling you to quit your job and invest all your resources and energies in your network marketing business, I hope he is also paying your grocery , phone, and gas bill! If he isn't, run away from them as fast as you can!!!! Otherwise you will be on the street since your mortgage wasn't paid. It didn't happen to me but I can give you the name of a friend of mine to whom it did.
Jim Rohn tells a story of how he used the line " I am working full time on my income and part time on my fortune" for many years because it was such a good line, even though he was already making triple the income with his network marketing business than his job. It's a great way to talk to people.
The secret to doing network marketing part time, is to use your time effectively and efficiently. You need to find mentors who have :"been there, done that" and can tell you what works and what doesn't. The same social network can give different results to two different people because one is using the social network effectively and one isn't.
At the point that you feel your network marketing company is bringing you enough income to quit your job, don't look back.

The Bus driver's 15 minutes
I asked my 11 year old daughter today "If you had 15 minutes what would you do?" Her answer was what I expected , "Read a book".
I have the greatest respect for bus drivers of any type, they get up early , drive for many hours and have to maintain a good sense of humor to drive 50 rowdy kids.
I live in a rural area where the Jr. High school kids are bused to school. This morning, on my daily walk, I happen to notice the bus standing idle on the side of the road. He was 15 minutes early to pick up the kids and had some free time on his hands.
So I started wondering; What he is doing for 15 minutes. Reading a newspaper? Drinking a cup of coffee? Sleeping? He probably wasn't calling anyone at 6:15 AM, so that was not a possibility. Then I starting thinking about myself, what would I do if I had 15 minutes to wait for someone?
1) Go for a brief walk (I don't know if he is allowed to leave the bus when he is working)
2) Organize my pocketbook
3) Do my chi gong exercises
4) Listen to a 15 minute inspirational tape
5) Read a few pages of a personal development book
6) Write ideas for a blog post
7) Meditate/pray
8) Make a to do list
9) Eat an orange or something else that needs 2 hands
How much gas did he waste in those 15 minutes? How much air pollution did he produce?
What I did notice is that it took me 15 minutes to walk past him on my walking route.
So what would you do if you had 15 minutes?
Judy
